History

The Ribatejo region can be considered the birthplace of the Lusitano Horse, a brave partner since the days of the Roman legionnaires, 5000 years ago. This region is also home of great wines, plenty of Lusitanian soul.

WineMaking

From our best blocks, these grapes were picked in excellent balance of phenolic and acidity balance. Winemaking in little vats with temperature controlled at 24ºC, followed by extended cold skin maceration over 24 hours. Aged during 6 months in oak barrels.

Tasting Note

Ruby colour. Ripe fruit flavours with hints of blackberry and dark chocolate . Full bodied with elegant tannins. Long and deep finish.

This Cavalo Bravo is a perfect match with wild boar roasted or stewed, rabbit hunter's style, grilled salmon with smoked black tea or codfish with aromatic spicies.
