History

The Ribatejo region can be considered the birthplace of the Lusitano Horse, a brave partner since the days of the Roman legionnaires, 5000 years ago. This region is also home of great wines, plenty of Lusitanian soul.

WineMaking

With total destemming and extended cold skin maceration. The fermentation occurred at 24ºC in stainless steel vats and lasted for 9 days.

Tasting Note

Ruby colour. Blackberry aromas, currant and coffee are in balance with hints of clove and black pepper. Fresh and full bodied with smooth and elegant tannins. Long and slightly spicy finish

This Cavalo Negro is a perfect match for grilled chicken’s fillets with red peppers and      mozzarella, grilled vegetables salads with creamy sauce, prawns and peanuts salad, duck with raspberry or hare rice.
