Alentejo Wine Region

    Região de vinhos do Alentejo

Although the vine culture in Alentejo is very old, this was one of the last regions to obtain official demarcation. Since then, the growth has been remarkable and, in the last decades, the Alentejo has become a great wine region, both in quantity and quality, being today one of the most important regions in the country. With modern and well-maintained vineyards, an avant-garde oenology and consumer-oriented products, Alentejo has everything to maintain this leadership for many years.

On a sunny slope, surrounded by the peaceful northern landscape of Alentejo, in the parish of Redondo, there is Herdade da Candeeira, composed of vineyards, olive groves and montados.
The proximity of Serra d’Ossa gives thermal amplitudes to the region, which are very important for the differentiation of the wines that are born here, due to their characteristic freshness.
