The Geographical Indication Lisbon is one of the most important Portuguese regions, in terms of vineyard area and wine production. Formed by gentle hills, with little accentuated relief, IG Lisboa extends from the capital of Portugal to the north, to Pombal, always along the coast, in a strip that does not exceed 40 km in width. Multifaceted region, it encompasses several denominations of origin, ancient and modern, with distinctive characteristics among themselves. The climate is temperate, of Atlantic influence, with relatively cool summer, cooler and more humid in the areas closest to the sea, warmer and drier in the areas protected by the Montejunto mountain range.
The wine region of Lisbon goes far beyond urban spaces, showing vast areas where nature is revealed in all its splendor. Between the most coastal areas and the Montejunto hills, passing through the two Natural Parks (Sintra-Cascais and Serras de Aires and Candeeiros), the region is home to an important biodiversity of flora and fauna, with emphasis on migratory and resident birds. The Voo Real brand brings together lovers of quality wines to aficionados of birds and the natural world, in a collection that shines both in the bottle and in the glass.
